Il a créé sa probre agence à Strasbourg en 1971.
Sa philosophie : construire pour améliorer la vie des habitants, les rendre heureux.
Sa spécialité : L’integration de l’architecture moderne dans un tissue urbain historique.

Il fit ses études d’architecture à l’ENSAIS (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Industrie de Strasbourg ),
qui sur le modèle des Technische Hochschule allemandes formait des architectes et des ingénieurs.
Il obtint son diplôme d’architecte en 1961, puis poursuivit ses études à l’ Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts
de Paris, ainsi qu’à l’Institut d’Urbanisme de l’Université de Paris.
